The Rainforest world music festival was held at the Sarawak Cultural Village in Kuching. Visitors from about 36 countries turn up to witness the 11th RWMF. It was a spectacular musical events.

A religious ceremony when Hindu devotees perform their thanksgiving in honor of Lord Subramaniam. These devotees are in trance carrying body-piercing kavadis

Mulu’s famous Pinnacles sit mi-way up the slopes of Gunung Api. It is about 45 metre high and has razor sharp limestone spikes that tower above the surrounding vegetation. The trek to view them is one of the most popular in the park.

The Canopy walk is one of the longest tree-to-tree skywalk in the world. Linking 15 tress together via pillared platforms and suspension of 304 metres above the forest floor. The 480 metre skywalk is the best place to get a breathtaking view of Gunung Mulu National Park.

The seventh longest caves in the world, Clearwater caves as it’s name implies, is a magnificent labyrinth of underground rivers where crystal clear waters flow. Sculptured walls decorated with scallop marks delightful arrangements of stalagmites and stalactites and a cool clear rive that leads to unknown caverns and passages formed millions of years ago.

The Lang’s Cave has masses of beautiful stalagmites and stalactites, delicate and fascinating rock curtains dominated the scenery within. Various rock figures that resemble humans, seashells, jellylfish, birds and other animals can be detected depending on how far one’s imagination stretches.
Dancing has a long history in the Malay culture. The above pictures shows the multitude of traditional dances performed at the official launching ceremony depicts the richness and grandeur of Malay culture and tradition.

In Malaysia, we have many pageants, one of them is Miss Cheongsam. Participants must be of Chinese origins, 18 years and above to qualified entry.

Human skulls hanging inside a replica of an ethnic longhouse. They are real human skull that have been carried by head hunters in the olden days. In the olden days, deep in the interior of Borneo jungles, warriors collect heads of the victims to indicate their power and status. The warrior with the most heads collected is usually made the head of the village. Young men must proved their men hood by collecting head to marry the maidens.

Toothless kangal or “doctor” fish, nibble at the dead skin of a customer’s feet. This fish spa is the first in Malaysia. It is popular in Turkish spas where they are used to treat skin diseases.
